Virtual Weekly Mama Meditation & Prenatal Yoga

  • Sat Nam Yoga Chicago 1304 West Washington Boulevard Chicago, IL, 60607 United States (map)

Mamas, you are mightier than you know. You are your baby’s whole world.

This class is virtual via ZOOM.

Together we’ll prepare our bodies with a few gentle stretches, have an experience with the featured meditation for the week, reflect on introspective questions and journal prompts, and indulge in deliciously restorative rest.

Your breath sets the rhythm of your baby’s breath. Your nervous system sets the blueprint for your baby’s nervous system. What you feel, the baby feels. Sound is such a powerful and potent tool for healing.

These are not sit-in-silence meditations. These meditations are a modern application of ancient technology that rewires the brain, strengthens the immune system, calms the nervous system, and unlocks our fierce grace as women.

These mantras will become the soundtrack to your pregnancy, your anthem during labor and lullabies to your babes. Each class we’ll deep dive into the meaning and power of sacred sound. Each week will be a different mantra, but you’ll deepen your relationship with its medicine the more you repeat them throughout the week.

This is dedicated time to connect with yourself, your babe, and a community of women. Perhaps the most important thing you can ask for on your registry is sacred time to tune in and be present as you elevate your frequency and already start to build your relationship with your babe. Gift yourself or gift this experience to a mama in your life.

Whether you are carrying your babe in your belly, in your arms, or in your heart - all mamas are welcome.

What mamas are saying....
“Elizabeth is the ideal yoga teacher. Her classes are vibrant, playful, and full of interesting meditations, too. After each class in the series I came to understand something new about my body and my journey.” - Jackie

“After reading Elizabeth’s description of her Khalsa Way class I decided to take it while I was trying to conceive, and I am so glad I did! The classes prepared my mind and body to conceive, maintain a healthy pregnancy, and be a courageous mother to my beautiful babies. I can’t thank her enough for her impact on my life and my family. I recommend this class to everyone!” - Colleen

“I took numerous prenatal classes during pregnancy, but Elizabeth's classes were special. She embodies goddess energy which you cannot help but absorb during the class. Not a diva type of goddess, but nurturing, open, ethereal and powerful. All things one wants to cultivate when becoming a mother. I gave birth 4 days after my last class with Elizabeth, which was in my own home, and all of the exercises helped me get through 24 hours of labor.” - Laura

More About the Practice:
Khalsa Way Prenatal Yoga was founded by Gurmukh Kaur Khalsa. The movement and postures are drawn from many lineages of yoga but the fundamentals, meditations and chants come from the Kundalini practice. Each class is an opportunity to experience the balance of strength and surrender as you prepare for labor and motherhood.

Elizabeth teaches Kundalini Yoga, Khalsa Way Prenatal, Kids & Family Yoga, and supports educators and school districts as they integrate mindfulness practices across the curriculum. She has studied with Gurmukh and supported Khalsa Way Prenatal Teacher Trainings across the US. She deeply believes in the power of women gathering to uplift each other simply by witnessing each other.
