Sound Chamber: The Healing Call of the Didgeridoo with Jimmy Chan

  • Sat Nam Yoga Chicago 1304 West Washington Boulevard Chicago, IL, 60607 United States (map)

Welcome to an exotic sound journey that will take you deep into the mystical tones and sounds of the Yidaki, also known as the Didgeridoo.

The Yidaki is the oldest wind instrument on the planet, native to the land of Australia. Known for its deep resonating drones, it has been used for thousands of years in healing circles, rituals, and ceremonies by mystical healers such as Shamans, Medicine Men, Instrumentalists, Farmers, and more. Some even suggest that when played properly, the didgeridoo opens up portals into the spirit realm.

Crafted from eucalyptus wood and blood wood that has been eaten through by termites, the traditional Didge is an elemental instrumental with wood, earth, water, and air, including the spirit and sound of the tree's age and echoing low-frequency sound of the termites forever resonating through the instrument. It's easy to see how sacred and spiritual the didgeridoo truly is!

This 1.5 hour journey is designed to catapult you into an inward spiritual adventure where you'll meet yourself and other spiritual guides, such as angels, on a multitude of levels within the fringes of this soundscape. Accompanying instruments include the Atlantis Gong, Agazarian Chao, D note crystal bowl, crystal pyramids, rain stick, thunder sheet, medicine drum, and prerecorded binaural rhythms and background sounds.

Together, these instruments and artist, Jimmy Chan create a delightful and rich tapestry of good healing vibrations. Join us for this unique experience and dive deep into the essence of sound.
